Nichols diversified Industries delivers 38’ x 13’ Custom Aluminum Catamaran “Hey Jude” to Petersburg AK based Tamico Inc. The asymmetrical hull design is solid and stable in all seas and easily maneuverable at low speeds and docking. Design criteria included a large aft cockpit for work and play, large bridge deck and all weather capability with a comfortable, high visibility interior. “Hey Jude” is powered by two (2) Suzuki DF300 HP, 4 stroke outboards with a cruise speed of 25mph and 32mph Wide Open Throttle (WOT). The vessel has a 300 gallon fuel capacity. Interior amenities include a diesel stove with heating coils, large enclosed head with an electric toilet and shower, mahogany joinery throughout, a full size convertible dinette and queen size forward berth. The large windows and an off white interior paint add to the open and warm cabin space feel. Exterior equipment includes a 3500 lb windlass, 60 lbs anchor with 420’ of rope, heavy duty 300 lbs pot hauler, two (2) extra large fish tanks, starboard side cockpit gate, raw water wash down, LED navigation lights, hinged bridge deck radar mast and transom mounted tow bit. Mechanical systems include power assisted hydraulic steering, hydraulic engine tie bar, electronic controls, 120 VAC 30A shore power, 60A battery charger, 12 VDC breaker panel with four (4) 4D batteries, fuel water separation filters, four (4) 2000 gph automatic bilge pumps, 42 gallon pressurized potable water system with stainless steel tank and 11 gallon water heater with heating coils. Exterior finish is comprised of heavy duty non-skid finish on all traction decks, clear coating on all exposed aluminum above waterline and anti fouling bottom paint with epoxy primer below waterline.
